Weekend Planner: Mother's Day Edition

Here are five events to check out this holiday weekend.

Welcome to your Mother's Day edition of the weekend planner. Here are the events happening in and around town this weekend that you and mom can check out!

1.
Where/When:, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, 12 to 5 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go: Come shop for used books at the Township Municipal Building Community Rooms. Saturday is the $5 bag day.

Where/When:
South Hills Village Lower Level North Court, 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday
Why Go:
Don’t miss this free event where moms are invited to enjoy makeovers, fashion tips, entertainment, goodie bags, information about great “mom” organizations plus demonstrations, food sampling, dozens of door prizes and special savings at some of your favorite stores! Check out the South Hills Village Facebook page for more information on Sephora’s Mommy Makeover contest, the Red Robin after party and how to win an overnight spa package at 7 Springs and Jersey Boys tickets!

Where/When:  Christ United Methodist Church, 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday
Why Go:  Pastor Chris is cooking spaghetti along with his secret recipe spaghetti sauce, meatballs, and homemade dessert. Come and bring your friends. Benefits Choir tour and Work Camp!
Pricing:  $6

Where/When: Sunoco, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go: The Girls Lacrosse Team will hold a car wash at the Sunoco on the corner of McMurray Road and Drake Road.
Pricing: Donations start at $5.

Where/When:The Galleria of Mt. Lebanon, 3 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go: Mothers and grandmothers are invited for a special tea-time with their child at Pottery Barn Kids in the Galleria. Put on your finest and bring your favorite doll or teddy bear for an afternoon of refreshments, stories, and more. Call for a reservation.
