It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend. Upper St. Clair Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check out our top picks for this weekend to find something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

1.
Where?/When?:  , Thursday, 8:30 p.m.
Why Go?: will be performing at Stonepepper's through late August. This musician, singer and songwriter has just released his album "Jealousy" after his TV debut and a 5 city tour of his that he wrote and directed.

2.
Where/When:  , Friday, 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Why Go: The Converstaion Salon meets on the first Friday of each month in the Multi-Purpose Room. Join the group for good conversation about current events! This month's topic is how to fix our education system. Registration is requested for first-time visitors.

Where?/When?:  The Home Depot in Bethel Park, Saturday, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Why Go?: Children ages 5 through 12 will make a pencil box at Home Depot's FREE How-to Workshop.

Where?/When?: Shop ‘n Save, Saturday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Why Go?: The South Fayette Shop 'n Save will be hosting a Pirates Rally Day for the local community. The event will be held in the lot next to the store and is a rally to support the Pirates.  The event will feature a fast pitch cage where kids can have their pitches clocked with a radar gun and a cage where kids can hit balls. Shop 'n Save will be providing ball park food to all in attendance. There will also be games and prizes including Pirates tickets and memorabilia. Kids are invited to wear their uniforms and bring along their entire team.
Pricing: Free.

Where?/When?: South Hills Village Mall, Saturday, 1-3 p.m.
Why Go?: South Hills Village and the Tutor Doctor invites the whole family to an afternoon of fun activities geared towards going back to school.  The event will include crafts, games, demonstrations, back to school information and more! The first 200 Kidgits members can decorate a special notebook and receive Kidgits Alphabet Flashcards, a mini Back-to-School supply pack and other fun surprises!

Where?/When?: Washington Road Business District in Mt. Lebanon, Saturday, 6-11:30 p.m.
Why Go?: The Historical Society of Mount Lebanon, with support from the Mt. Lebanon Partnership, presents the 5th Annual Street Party: ULTRAparty 2011. This year’s ULTRAparty will benefit the Historical Society, the Mt. Lebanon Partnership and community autism initiatives. The block party features great sponsors, live entertainment and a family pre-party.
Pricing: $5 donation for admission

Where?/When?: , Saturday, 7 p.m.
Why Go?: Come cheer on Pittsburgh’s professional soccer team! The Pittsburgh Riverhounds will play against Charlotte Eagles.
Pricing: $9 for adults and $6 for students.

Where?/When?: South Park, Sunday, 10 a.m.
Why Go?: Volunteers are invited to the PTAG Trail Workday at South Park. The group will meet at the ice rink on Corrigan Drive. Volunteers should bring work gloves and water. Tools will be provided. For more information on this volunteering opportunity, click here.

Where?/When?: , Sunday, 12-6:30 p.m.
Why Go?: This dinner is to benefit Olivia Myers who was born with a rare brain malformation called pachygyria. This causes her to have low muscle tone, developmental delays, cortical vision impairment and uncontrollable seizures. Olivia needs to be taught the things that typical children do naturally, such as playing with toys, crawling, standing or walking independently. The cost of the needed therapy is more than the family can afford. Activities of the event include a Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle, lottery tree and more. Dinner is provided by the Spaghetti Warehouse.
Pricing: $10/Adults, $6/Children.

Where?/When?: South Park, Sunday, 1:30-4 p.m.
