Well, Upper St. Clair Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check out our picks for the best activities to hit.

Where/When:, 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday
Why Go: The Conversation Salon meets on the first Friday of each month in the multi-purpose room. Join the group for good conversation about current events! This month's topic is the role of education in creating a viable civilization. Registration is requested for first-time visitors. Call 412-835-5540 to register.

Where/When: , 7:30 p.m. on Friday
Why Go: Upper St. Clair High School invites you to their production of South Pacific by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. South Pacific follows the story of Ensign Nellie Forbush, a U.S. Navy nurse from Little Rock, Arkansas. She falls in love with Emile de Becque, a middle-aged French plantation owner with a dark past. Plan to purchase tickets in advance, as shows tend to sell out. Call 412-851-2060 for ticket information.
Pricing: $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under, $5 for non-USC senior citizens, senior citizens who reside in Upper St. Clair (with a valid ID, Gold Card, Silver Card or driver's license) and school staff members will receive up to two complimentary admission.

Where/When: , 5 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Looking for a stress-free evening away from the kids? Has it been too long since your last date night? Are your kids bugging you for somewhere fun to go on a weekend evening? has set up a Parents' Night Out fundraising event at Peace Lutheran Church. The program is for kids, birth through 4th grade. Where/When: 1900 Cochran Road, Pittsburgh, PA, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go: Beth El Synagogue of the South Hills is hosting a Purim Carnival featuring fun games, a Moon Bounce, face painting, great prizes and delicious carnival foods. There will also be a Chinese and silent auction for gift baskets, restaurant gift certificates and other exciting items. The carnival is open to the public and tickets can be purchased at the door. Pricing: Tickets for games and food are $0.25/ticket. The Moon Bounce is $3 for unlimited usage or $1/turn.

Where?/When?: , 6 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go?: Westminster Presbyterian Church will host the Westminster Great Decisions Forum. Great Decisions is a national program created by the Foreign Policy Association. People from the entire community are invited to join in lively discussion on timely issues of world affairs and public policy. The list of topics change annually.
