It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the holiday weekend. Upper St. Clair Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for you and your family to celebrate the weekend before Thanksgiving the right way! Check out our top picks—there's something for everyone.

Where/When: Downtown Pittsburgh, 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday and noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: The 51st Duquesne Light Light Up Night will kick off this Friday in Point State Park with a Santa Spectacular! The evening will be capped off by lighting of the Legendary 80-foot Duquesne Light Tree, followed by the Macy’s Fireworks to Music Finale! Stroll through the city side of Point State Park after 5 p.m. and enjoy treats and activities for kids of all ages! Saturday night will begin with concerts in Market Square beginning at noon. Other activities include a skating performance at the Rink at PPG, pictures with Sugar Plum Fairies at 5th Ave. and a horse drawn candlelight carriage parade. Where?/When?: Andrew Carnegie Music Hall, 8 p.m. on Thursday through Saturday
Why Go?: Hello Dolly is musical theater heaven. Dolly Levi, a widowed matchmaker, takes the single men of Yonkers, New York, on an unforgettable journey to New York City. Through hat shops and high-kicking waiters, parades and polka contests, the hilarious twists and turns bring everyone right back to Yonkers… and love. After all, it only takes a moment!

Where?/When?: , 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: This Bake Sale/Craft and Vendor Show will benefit Show Our Strength, a national charitable organization whose mission is to end childhood hunger in America. The event will feature a bake sale, holiday crafts and many vendors. There will also be a gift basket raffle, 50/50 and lunch served to benefit the Westminster Presbyterian Women’s Association.

Where?/When?: , 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: The Joy of Christmas Craft Show will be held at St. Louise deMarillac Parish. The show will feature over 100 crafters.
Pricing: $2 for admission.

Where?/When?: , 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday
Why Go?: The Girl Scout Troop 635 Fall Food Drive will be held in the Eisenhower Elementary parking lot at the gym entrance. The top five needed items are cereal, canned tuna, pasta sauce, macaroni and cheese and packaged side dishes.

Where?/When?: , 11 a.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Skippyjon Jones wants to be the best Chihuahua ever. The only problem: he's actually a Siamese cat! Before you can say "holy guacamole," Skippyjon's wild imagination takes over and he becomes El Skippito Bandito, the greatest canine sword fighter in Mexico. Based on the book by Pennsylvania-native Judy Schachner, Skippyjon Jones is an enchanting musical about unleashing your powerful imagination and following your dreams.

Why Go?: Participants can play approximately 15 games of bingo each with a Vera Bradley bag as a prize! A smaller Vera Bradley prize will be awarded per winner if there are multiple bingos. Doors open at 6 p.m. and bingo begins at 7 p.m.
Pricing: $15 for presale, $20 at the door.

Where?/When?: John McMillan Presbyterian Church, 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go?: A Bethel Park veteran needs your help! Mike Trout has served our country for over 31 years.  Mike was a Master Sergeant in the US Marines.  He survived all sorts of hazardous and critical situations while in the Marine Corps. Mike was awarded the Bronze Star for his valor in combat. Now Mike needs your help!  Mike was critically burned in an unfortunate explosion in his house on June 29, 2011. Mike is now fully disabled due to injuries he received in the explosion and is unable to work. Mike has no local family so his close friends have organized this spaghetti dinner benefit to help him return to a normal life in his home. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time at Evey Hardware, Video Doc Productions and Judy Murtaugh Dance Studio.

Where?/When?: , 4 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go?: Come for a delightful hour of music as mezzo-soprano Patty Donohue Burns and Westminster’s own Jim Burns present a recital of songs by Schubert and Poulenc plus Samuel Barber’s masterful take on the simple life of a century ago. Set to a text by James Agee, Knoxville: Summer of 1915 evokes family on a summer evening from the eyes of a young child. The combination of story and music presents a memorable portrait of a time gone by.

Where?/When?: Heinz Hall, 7:30 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go?: In the shadow of their successful tour of Italy last summer, the young musicians of the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra now look to Germany and Russia for musical inspiration. Music Director Lawrence Loh will lead the 95-member Orchestra in the most recognizable symphony ever written, Beethoven's Symphony No. 5. Shakespeare's famous characters will come to life in the Romeo & Juliet Fantasy Overture by Tchaikovsky. PSO Associate Conductor Thomas Hong will conduct the rousing opener Ruslan & Ludmilla by Glinka. Now in it's 65th season, PYSO continues its tradition of presenting free concerts at Heinz Hall.
