Get Out: Halloween Weekend Planner

Here are 10 spooktacular events happening this weekend.

Welcome to your Get Out Weekend Planner Halloween edition!

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the holiday weekend. Upper St. Clair Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for you and your family to celebrate Halloween the right way! Check out our top picks for this weekend to find something for spooktacular everyone can enjoy.

Where?/When?: , 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday through Saturday.
Why Go?: Simmons Farms is geared up for fall with plenty of activities for the whole family. Activities include sampling cider, hay maze, nature challenge trail, pumpkin carving and so much more!

2.
Where?/When?: South Hills Village, 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday
Why Go?: Costumed children age 12 and under are invited to collect treats at participating mall stores. Kidgits Club members will receive an extra special goodie bag, too!

Where?/When?: , 10 a.m. on Friday
Why Go?: Kids can celebrate Halloween in a safe and fun way! They will be parading through the center and trick-or-treating at 10 a.m. and crafts will start at 6 p.m. The event is held at the .

Where?/When?: , 1:30 p.m. on Friday
Why Go?: Parents bring your cameras and come watch the Streams Parade! The parade begins at 1:30 p.m. outside in front of the school. Children may bring and dress in costumes for the parade. No masks are permitted.

Where?/When?: , 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday
Why Go?: Trax Farms is offering scenic hayrides and a chance to explore the corn maze on Wednesdays and Fridays until Oct. 28. Call 412-835-3246 to register for a large group.
Pricing: $8/Adult, $6/Children 4 to 12,  Free for kids ages 3 and under.

Where?/When?: Hundred Acres, 7 to 11:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday
Why Go?: The Hundred Acres Manor is Pittsburgh’s largest haunted houses. Don’t miss this last chance to check out all the spooks and scares.
Pricing: General Admission is $16, Scare Saver V.I.P Admission is $20, V.I.P Admission is $25, Super V.I.P Admission is $35.

Where?/When?: on Saturday, Oct. 29, registration begins at 8:30 a.m.
Why Go?: The Todd-a-thon is a Halloween fundraising event for the whole family that includes a fun run/walk and other games & activities. It benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through the Todd Reed McClintock Memorial Research Fund. This event was created to honor the life and spirit of Todd McClintock. Halloween costumes are encouraged, but not required.

Where?/When?: Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, 11 a.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: The parade will start at the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery and runs through town to Lebanon Avenue. Wear your Halloween costume and watch the parade pass by on the sidewalks between Shady Drive and Lebanon Avenue.  After the "GREAT PUMPKIN" inflatable passes, children with adult chaperones can join the parade!  Following the parade, children are welcome to Trick or Treat at participating businesses along Washington Road.  Look for the orange "Trick or Treat" sign in their store/business window.

Where?/When?: Trotwood Hills Neighborhood, 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go?: This Haunted Halloween Trail is a fundraiser for the Animal Rescue League of Pittsburgh. The trail has two time slots: 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The evening time slot is recommended for ages 8 and up.
Pricing: $5 per person or $20 for a family over 4 people

Where?/When?:
In the neighborhoods of Upper St. Clair on Monday, Oct. 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Why Go: It's Halloween for pete's sake! Kids, grab those pillowcases and fill them to the brim with candy!
