Let's be honest. We're all watching our family budgets these days. Whether shopping with coupons or looking for two-for-one deals, we're taking advantage of all sorts of offers and savings that help us stretch our dollar. 

One way to save some cash, take advantage of the deals local businesses offer during the week. Here are five deals we found in the area.

1. Go see a movie
Destina Theater in nearby Bridgeville offers a Tuesday bargain with $6.50 admission.

2. Check out the Home & Garden Show
The Pittsburgh Home & Garden Show runs through March 13. This year's show boasts 1500 exhibits and over 9 acres with everything for your home.

It's $10 for adults, $4 for kids 6 to 12 and FREE for kids under 6. You can find $1.50 off tickets at Home Depot.

3. Go out to eat
-We don't want you driving drunk, but bring some other 21 and older adults with you to Houlihan's on Tuesday. It offers half priced bottles of win from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- offers 35 cent wings from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. every Tuesday. 

4. Go to the museum
With this crazy weather, you can never go wrong visiting any one of Pittsburgh’s spectacular museums. Listed below are some special discounts and offers for the Carnegie Museum of Art.

First off: Thursday nights are FREE in March after 3:30 p.m. at the Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History. There is also FREE admission for active military personnel. There are also discounts for college students and others -- for instance, you get $1 off admission for up to six people, when you present your AAA membership rides. Port Authority Transit rider? You get $1 off admission for up to four people when you present your monthly bus pass.

5. Lencrafters Semi-Annual Lens Event
You can enjoy 50 percent off lenses with a frame purchase, including bifocals, no-lines and prescription sunglasses. The best part is that you can get half-off eyeglasses for kids everyday.

If you show your AAA card, you can save 30 percent off your eyeglasses and prescription sunglasses.
