South Park Spring Cleanup

The Friends of South Park and the Allegheny County Parks Foundation are hosting a Spring Cleanup in South Park on Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 8:30 am to noon. Volunteers are asked to meet at the Black Ash Grove to register and to receive assignments and instructions. They will ask volunteers to either pick up litter or assist in the removal of invasive vines and plants.

Volunteers of all ages or ability may participate and children under adult supervision are welcome.

After a few hours of making South Park beautiful, participants will meet at the South Park Township administrative office for some of South Park's Famous Hot dogs. All volunteers should wear clothing appropriate for the weather, sturdy shoes, and heavy work gloves. The Foundation will provide all other equipment.
