Movies portray the forest as a forbidding no-man’s land with fog wafting through the branches of barren, creaking trees, is it really like that?  You have many chances to visit The Outdoor Classroom and explore the sights and sounds of the forest at night.  Listen for owls, look for eyes watching you and learn about all things nocturnal.  Just when you think it couldn’t get any better, watch the moon-rise over the eastern horizon!  Now THAT is something you can’t get on a video game!  You will walk on relatively flat trails, but appropriate clothing and footwear are recommended.  Registration is required for staffing purposes.
