Earth Day Chartiers Creek/Wingfield Pines Cleanup
Saturday, April 21st
Join Paddle Without Pollution and Allegheny Land Trust at 9:00 a.m. to clean up the water and shoreline of the three mile portion of Chartiers Creek flowing from the newly acquired ALT property adjacent to the Frosty Valley golf course, passing through Boyce Mayview Park, and concluding at ALT’s Wingfield Pines property. Meet at Frosty Valley (2651 Hidden Valley Dr., Pittsburgh 15241) and launch our boats there to pick up trash from a canoe or kayak. A special parking area at the golf course will be provided. Or enter the woods to be part of the land-based portion of the cleanup. Lunch will be provided after the cleanup at the Wingfield Pines property.
