Community Day Parade Marches Through Upper St. Clair

Grand marshal was former MLB player and Upper St. Clair resident Sean Casey.

The Community Day Parade marched down McLaughlin Run Road on Saturday without a glitch.

Former MLB player and Upper St. Clair resident Sean Casey was the parade's grand marshal. .

"I've been coming to Community Day my whole life and it was cool to be the grand marshal," said Casey. "Usually I'm on the side catching candy."

The beautiful weather attracted hundreds of onlookers.

"The weather's great. The parade's great. It's just great to see all of your neighbors, see the kids grow up and meet a lot of new people," said Adam Lumish, an Upper St. Clair resident.

Rotary Club member Brian Schill announced the parade for the first time.

"I got to see the parade instead of being in the parade, so that was a cool thing," said Schill. "I think it went really well. The weather makes a big difference."
