Brew Fest to Benefit Veterans Memorial

Mt. Lebanon event will offer samples of craft beer from local breweries.

Tickets are still available for Mt. Lebanon’s second annual Brew Fest.

The event on Saturday, Sept. 17 runs from 4 to 7 p.m. in Clearview Common along Washington Road in uptown Mt. Lebanon. Proceeds from the Brew Fest will benefit the new Mt. Lebanon Veterans Memorial that is being built in the township.

This year’s event will include craft beers from several local breweries. There will also be live music from Uptown Rhythm and Brass. Raffle tickets will be sold with the main prizes including a ski trip to Steamboat Spring in Colorado, jewelry and a gas grill.

Dan Gigler, who is on the Veterans Memorial committee, said the event is a good chance for people to enjoy the evening and sample different beers from local breweries.

“It’s a really nice, relaxed time,” Gigler said. “Everyone from last year just thought it was a wonderful event. We’re happy to do it again this year.”

Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the gate. They are available at the Mt. Lebanon Municipal Building, Howard Hanna’s uptown office, First Commonwealth Bank on Mt. Lebanon Boulevard, the rec center and Mt. Lebanon Public Golf Course.
