Demise of Patch

This article was published on Jan 17.  It discusses a possible sale of Patch to Hale Global.  The deal was, in fact, consumated, and Hale took control of Patch.  The article discusses the possibility of Hale to dismantle Patch.  As late as mid-December, AOL spoke about their intentions not to shut down Patch.  However, shortly thereafter, they entered into negotiations with others to sell off Patch.
