Who can resist the stirring sound of a concert band playing a Sousa march, a favorite light overture or familiar tunes from popular Broadway shows or movies? We invite you to attend The Three Rivers Community Band Festival, a free musical performance on Saturday afternoon, April 14, 2012 at 2:30 PM, which will feature all of these favorites and more!

Celebrating its 9th year, this festival includes performances by East Winds Symphonic Band and Community Band South from the Pittsburgh region, the Youngstown Area Community Concert Band, and the Festival Band comprised of musicians from over 50 community bands throughout western PA and conducted by James Gourlay, the River City Brass conductor,  and hosted by WQED-FM’s Jim Cunningham.

The festival will be held again at the spectacular Upper St. Clair High School Theatre

located just below South Hills Village off  Rte. 19 South.

A refreshments/reception for musicians and audience follows the performance.
