While it was a beautiful day to be running in the Pittsburgh Marathon on Sunday, it was an even better day to be rowing for the Upper St Clair High School crew team at the 19th annual Pittsburgh Scholastic Sprints.
The team competed against ten other local area crew teams in 1500 meter races on the Allegheny River.
A quick current made for fast racing against some competitive crews and the Panthers were able to medal in four events: bronze in the Mens Novice Four, the Mens JV Four and the Mens JV 8 events, and silver in the Mens Varsity 4 event.
On Friday, the team travels to Cincinnati for the Midwest Scholastic Rowing Championship.
Share your congratulations with the crew team in the comments below!

No one cares about crew or this article. Rowing a boat, sounds like a pretty crazy competitive "sport".

Hey "RJ", the team has a boathouse tour and crew camp coming up. We'd love to see if you can hang. Check out this video from a couple seasons ago and let me know: http://www.usccrew.org/index.php?id=About%20Us
