Video: The Great Egg Hunt of 2011

Meeting the Easter Bunny was only part of the adventure at the Rotary Club's Easter Egg Hunt 2011.

The putting green was dotted with splashes of pink, purple, yellow and blue as the 2011 Easter Egg Hunt got underway last Saturday at the municipal 3-hole golf course on McLaughlin Run Road.

Children adorned with bunny whiskers or Easter eggs upon their cheeks, laughed and giggled as they met the Easter Bunny, played games and then made a mad dash in the hunt for eggs filled with candy or, if they were lucky, a magic.

The afternoon, bright and cheerful despite gray clouds overhead, was presented by the Bethel-St. Clair Evening Rotary Club and the USC High School Interact Club along with the assistance of the Department of Recreation and Leisure Services.

As a member of BSC Rotary , I really enjoy this annual event. What could be more American than a community Easter Egg Hunt with hundreds of little kids just running around enjoying themselves? Lots of "Thank You's" were heard from appreciative parents. I can tell you, however, that we regard it as a "labor of love'.
