We don't know that it was alcohol related from the article. People have accidents sometimes. He was a really nice kid back in high school and my prayers are with his family. May his kind soul rest in peace.

Where did it say that alcohol was involved? It's not time for a lecture. Our condolences to the family.

I believe if you didn't know my son you should keep your lectures to yourself. We don't need comments like that now. You are uncaring and unkind

Andrew was the type of kid that anyone would love to have as their next door neighbor. In fact, my parents were lucky enough to have him as theirs. He was never too cool to play with my kids, who were much younger, and he always greeted us with a friendly smile. He was a good person, and anyone who didn't know him or his family should refrain from voicing their opinions at this terrible time. Whether alcohol was involved doesn't matter; a kind young man just starting his adult life is gone. His family will never fully be the same. Before casting dispersions, we all need to take a look in the mirror and really ask ourselves if we have lived our lives as perfectly as we expect everyone else to. Rest in peace Andrew. You will be remembered fondly. Kim, I am so sad for your loss.

I was at your son's job with my wife shortly after they received news. His coworkers were taking his passing very hard. From their grief, it appeared your son made an impact on his coworkers and, I suspect many others. I pray the grace and peace of God upon you and your family and that He comforts you as no one else can during this very difficult time in your lives.

This family needs prayers and compassion. Speigler should be banned for spilling hatred once and for all.

I don't see the comment that is prompting these responses, so I'm sort of winging it here. The newscast on the 11:00 PM news last night mentioned the word alcohol. But guess what...it doesn't matter. I agree 100% with these kind supporters. This family has lost their son, brother, grandson. It is not our place to assume, criticize, judge or scrutinize this family or anyone else. Practice saying this: "This could be ME tomorrow." How would you like to be treated if you were suffering this type of loss? I would hope for grace, love and compassion. To the Guzzi Family: Cling to what is good and helpful. Disregard the rest. You are in my prayers.

I had the pleasure of chaperoning the Disney World band trip with Kim and was so touched by how affectionate Andrew was with his mom. Not afraid to put his arm around her or give her a hug in front of his friends and so sweet with his little sister. Kim, Tony and Katie, stay strong for each other and hold each other close…you have so many loving prayers surrounding you……

If you weren't sure who Andrew was in high school, the descriptors people listed were always like, this, "You know, he's tall, blonde -- he's that guy who's really nice to everyone, makes everyone laugh?" And then you knew exactly who they were talking about. Deepest condolences, he brought smiles to a lot of people.

I had the chance to know Andrew on a level that most people never got to- and I love reading this positive comments because I can tell people saw the side of him that was most important to show. He was honestly one of the most caring and compassionate people I have ever met. It didn't matter how bad his day was- it was his goal to make sure your day was full of happiness- and that was Andrew. I cannot believe someone would have the nerve to discuss the effects of alcohol in the times of such a tragedy- and this person clearly does not know the Guzzi family at all. If he did, he would be aware that this close knit family is dealing with unreal circumstances- but Andrew's compassion does not live in everyone and that's why he was special. Andrew's fall was an accident- a terrible one- that could happen to any of us- with or without alcohol. Let us remember that.

Andrew Guzzi was a good friend in high school, he was one of the kindest funniest people that i was lucky enough to have met. the kind of guy who would go out of his way to make another person smile. A world without Andrew Guzzi is a world thats missing out. my thoughts and prayers go out to his family in such a dark time.
