USC Cheerleaders Flip to First Place National Ranking

The U.S. Finals judges rank Upper St. Clair's competitive cheerleading squad as the best in the country.

The judges of the U.S. Finals ranked Upper St. Clair High School's competitive cheerleading squad as the best in the nation.

Out of the eight first place winners in U.S. Finals divisions across the United States, the judges said the Upper St. Clair cheerleaders displayed the most talent.

The eight U.S. Finals regional competitions took place in Las Vegas, Kansas City, Baton Rouge, Indianapolis, Orlando, Providence, Washington DC and Virginia Beach. , the Upper St. Clair squad took first place at the Virginia Beach competition.

The champion team is comprised of four freshmen, nine sophomores and six juniors. Their head coach is Amanda Sanderson.
