There is a new Chipotle Mexican Grill open for business in Upper St. Clair.
The first day of business was Monday, Jan. 22.
The restuarant joins Norman Centre on Washington Road in the former Pearl Vision store.
In September, commissioners approved the addition of 22 more parking spots to accomodate the restaurant.
The restaurant's address is 1720 Washington Rd. Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Yes, I will probably visit. Chipotle makes great food made with mostly natural and organic ingredients and it tastes good . . . much better than the other fast food alternatives.

I am pleased that a restaurant which serves tasty, reasonably healthful food is opening near my home. Surely Chipotle will succeed in this great location. There are now many more good choices in dining than there were when I moved to this area in 2002: hallelujah! Now if only some entrepreneur would open a good Indian restaurant in Upper Saint Clair or Peters Township!

I heard through the grape vine that an Indian restaurant will soon opening on Painters Run Road where the former Italian restaurant was. Its menu will feature deer chops, bear stew, buffalo burgers, leg of antelope and other exotic wild life dishes.
