Rick Santorum Calls It Quits
The Republican presidential candidate announced he's suspending his campaign.
Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum announced Tuesday afternoon that he is suspending his campaign.
The former U.S. senator from Pennsylvania was expected to make the announcement at an event in Gettysburg, but made the announcement earlier, as you can see on CNN.
According to The Huffington Post, the combination of his daughter's sickness and recent poll numbers showing him possibly losing his home state apparently prompted the early departure.
The news comes one week after speaking to supporters in Cranberry Township.
What do you think about Santorum's decision? Tell us in the comments.
