THANKFUL every day for being able to reside in USC. just returned from a trip to Cleveland Ohio. It was alarming and heart wrenching to see the vast number of condemned, abandoned and "for sale" houses in not only ethnic communities but the suburbs as well. Most have just walked away from their homes (some - old school, gorgeous mansions) due to economic hardship or neighborhood decline with no hope of selling.

I would have liked to have been able to read the original article, but the link only led to a picture.

While using zip codes does SEEM logical, it doesn't reflect the truth among School Districts. Upper St. Clair might have their own zip code but many other places share multiple zip codes.
Fox Chapel shared with O'Hara and Blawnox, Fox Chapel would top that list alone with a median income of $140,000+.

What purpose does this serve, except to point out burglar targets. Why not go further and point out those who can leave town for the winter. In New York a newspaper pinpointed homes with guns, and there have been attempted burglaries specifically for guns.

Peggy,
if you think a burglar needs to read an article to figure out where the rich people live, you need to get out a little more often !!!

If you havent noticed, the number of burglaries in a community correlates negatively to wealth. People don't drive 15 miles to burglarize a home in a nicer neighborhood, despite what ADT commercials may lead you to believe. They burglarize the house down the street when they've noticed the residents are out of town. Burglary is mostly a crime of opportunity.

Jim,
That's Peggie with an "ie", and my point was more about the value of the information.
