No Flooding, No Downed Trees in Upper St. Clair Following Superstorm Sandy
However, the tennis bubbles are closed until Wednesday.
There is no flooding and no downed trees in Upper St. Clair following Hurricane (now Superstorm) Sandy.
"With the ground being saturated at this point, any heavy rains could pose a problem, but heavy rains are not in the remaining forecast for Sandy," stated George Kostelich, Upper St. Clair Public Works Director. "Public Works crews continue to monitor the storm sewer system and continue the task of keeping the roadway inlets clean and flowing."
The National Weather Service lifted the high wind warning early in Upper St. Clair. Crews have been doing some minor limb cleanup.
The tennis bubbles will remain closed until Wednesday. They were closed early on Monday due to wind concerns.

Why, why, why is trick or treating rescheduled for Saturday???? All of these cancellations are ridiculous. As my softball coach used to say, "You're not sugar; you won't melt so get out and play!"

There's been snow, rain, important football games, all scheduled on Halloween trick-or-treating nights and the township would avoid rescheduling. The reason, as explained to me, they made the postponement this year is because Allegheny County declared a disaster emergency: http://northhills.patch.com/articles/allegheny-county-declares-disaster-emergency-in-advance-of-hurricane-sandy
