Full lane closures are planned for McMurray Road on Oct. 25, Oct. 26 and Oct. 29-Nov. 2.

Peters Township officials say significant delays should be expected from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., especially during the morning and late afternoon rushes. They recommend avoiding E. McMurray Road if possible. Suggested alternatives include Waterdam and Valleybrook Roads.

The work is part of an improvement project at the intersection of McMurray Road (Route 1002) and Center Church Road.

McMurray Road is being widened to provide right and left turning lanes at the intersection of South Center Church Road and a left turn lane at the intersection of North Center Church Road. In addition, a new traffic signal will also be added to the South Center Church Road intersection.

A contract for $871,916.99 was awarded to A. Liberoni, Inc. to perform the work.
