Miss Penny's Diner? Then Visit Center Plate!

Lenny Radziewicz and Penny Folino's new restaurant is now open for business at 94 Center Church Road.

Since Penny’s Diner closed its doors, manager Penny Folino said she’s been inundated with emails from customers asking when she’d be bringing her culinary expertise back to the McMurray area.

They missed the diner atmosphere, Folino said.

The wait is now over for those customers because Folino and her boyfriend, Lenny Radziewicz, have opened a new restaurant called Center Plate—located at 94 Center Church Rd.

The eatery has been open for just six days, but Folino said it has debuted to “rave reviews.”

Radziewicz owns the establishment and Folino is the manager—and brings her years of cooking skills to the spot, which she describes as a “café bistro, Greek-style restaurant.”

Open from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 6:30 a.m. to 9p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Folino said customers will find some of their favorites from Penny’s Diner on the menu—and she stressed that all the food is “made from scratch.”

Diners can enjoy American breakfasts, burgers, sandwiches such as the classic Reuben, as well as some Greek specialties.

Situated in an old house remodeled to be a restaurant, Folino said diners can choose to sit in one of three areas, each with its own theme.

One has a café-bistro look with booths, the second has a retro diner feel and the third emulates a café experience with tables.

And while Center Plate awaits the transfer of a liquor license to the new establishment, it is now BYOB.
