Middle School Boys Lacrosse Now a Club Sport

The Upper St. Clair School Board unanimously voted to make lacrosse a club sport at Fort Couch Middle School.

Boys lacrosse at Fort Couch Middle School will now be a club sport.

The Upper St. Clair School Board unanimously voted to make the change on Monday night.

At one point, the boys lacrosse team was not all Upper St. Clair students. Now the organization would like to be recognized by the school district and will be strictly for Upper St. Clair students.

The district will provide fields and cooperation to the team.

The girls lacrosse team at Fort Couch was already a club sport.

Lacrosse is offered as a PIAA sports team for boys and girls at the high school level.

Are you happy the middle school boys lacrosse team is now a club sport? Tell us in the comments.

Wish we could cover everything!! Something that has worked really well is sport blogging. Amy Connors is blogging for USC Crew and George Watzlaf blogged for girls soccer, so they're getting tons of coverage on Patch. Let me know if you're interested. It's really easy to set up.
