Charges against an Upper St. Clair man accused of driving drunk and crashing into a mailbox and an electrical box were held for court Monday.

Ryan Charles Peck, 21, of 507 Diablo Dr., is facing three driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance charges, one count of careless driving and one count of accidents involving damage to unattended property.

Upper St. Clair police accuse Peck of being intoxicated when he hit a mailbox and an electrical box with his vehicle near Diablo Drive home around 3 a.m. on March 1. The accident knocked power and cable out for neighbors.

When police arrived to the scene, they found Peck's damaged vehicle in his driveway. They knocked on Peck's door, arrested him for suspicion of DUI and transported him to St. Clair Hospital. Blood alcohol content results are still pending.

The case against Zachary Scott Jones, 24, of 2621 Rossmoor Dr., Upper St. Clair, was continued for a second time on Monday

District Judge Robert Wyda ordered Jones to pay restitution to his brother.

Zachary Jones is facing one count of access device fraud and one count of possessing Adderall.

According to a criminal complaint filed by Upper St. Clair police, Jones took his brother's debit card from his wallet on Dec. 24, withdrew more than $400 from his account without permission and slipped the card back into his wallet.

The complaint also states that Jones stole 70 to 90 Adderall pills from his sister in January.

Charges Reduced
Charges against Justin Sujansky, 30, of Upper St. Clair were reduced to a summary disorderly conduct.

The case against a Wesley Spectrum Academy student accused of stealing her teacher's iPhone was continued for another 30 days.

Kaylin Lyon, 18, of 1479 Yorktown Dr., Lawrence, is charged with one count of theft by unlawful taking.

According to a criminal complaint filed by Upper St. Clair police in March, school staff used a metal detector wand to discover that Lyon was hiding a teacher's stolen iPhone in her underwear.
