Get Out: Egg Hunt, Spaghetti Fundraiser & WVU vs. the Pros

Here are five events to check out this weekend.

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.
Well, Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check out our picks for the best activities to hit.

1. “Hop” Easter Photo Experience
Where/When: South Hills Village, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday
Why Go?: To celebrate the HOP Blu-ray™/DVD launch date on March 23, kids will have the chance to receive an adorable HOP plush character given away randomly every hour, at the top of the hour during the Easter Photo Experience event, taking place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Pricing: Photo packages start at $19.

2. Annual Easter Egg Hunt
Where/When: McLaughlin Run Road Recreation Center, 10 a.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: The Annual Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by the Bethel-St. Clair Evening Rotary Club and Upper St. Clair High School Interact Club, with the assistance of the Upper St. Clair Department of Recreation and Leisure Services, will take place on Saturday, March 24. At 10 a.m., children can visit the Easter Bunny and enjoy crafts and games at the shelter area located behind the old recreation center on McLaughlin Run Road. A grand prize raffle will be drawn at 10:50 a.m. and the Easter Egg Hunt will begin at the second green area at the Upper St. Clair 3-hole golf course at 11 a.m. Parents, remember your cameras. 3. Pittsburgh Riverhounds Game
Where?/When?: Upper St. Clair High School, 1 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Join the Upper St. Clair Girls Soccer Boosters for an exciting exhibition game between WVU and the professional Pittsburgh Riverhounds! There will be prizes, contests and concessions.
Pricing: Free

4. Spaghetti Dinner: Coins 4 Cross, Little Boys Get Lupus, Too
Where?/When?: St. Louise De Marillac Church, 1 to 7 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: This is a spaghetti dinner fundraiser for Coins 4 Cross. Proceeds will benefit the Anthony Cross Medical Fund ℅ PNC Bank and to help raise awareness of Pediatric Systemic Lupus Erythemastosus. Dinner tickets will be available in advance. The event includes a pasta dinner, sides, desserts, live entertainment, gift basket raffle, silent auction or 50/50 raffle. Contributions are tax deductible. Pricing: $10 for adults, $5 for children under 12

5. Talk ‘n Walk Series: EcoHiking
Where/When: The Outdoor Classroom, 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go?: Learn how to enjoy the beauty of nature while having little or no impact on the terrain. This program is wonderful for scout and community groups to study a respectful way to hike. You’ll utilize and discuss the Leave No Trace Outdoor Ethics and practice basic hiking courtesy. Registration is requested for planning purposes and is required to receive the group discount.
Pricing: $8 per adult, $3 per child under 12. (10% discount for 3 or more)
