It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.
Well, Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check our picks for the activities to hit and best places to explore.

1. Breakfast at the Manger
Where/When: Westminster Presbyterian Church, 9 a.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Bring the entire family for breakfast, the Christmas Story with live nativity, photos with Santa and shopping at Santa’s Shop.
Pricing: $8 for adults, $5 for children 2 to 12, children under 2 are free. Call 412-835-6630 for tickets.

2. Building Weekends
Where/When: Upper St. Clair Library, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Parents and kids are welcome to use the library's Legos, foam and wooden blocks and Lincoln Logs to create many different things!
Pricing: Free

3. Electronic Recycling Program
Where/When: Upper St. Clair Municipal Building, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: In accordance with Chapter 68 of the Township Code, residents of Upper St. Clair are no longer allowed to place electronics out on the curbside for pick-up. On the second Saturday of each month there will be an e-cycling event in the Township parking lot.
Pricing: Fees may apply to larger items.

4. Lowes Build and Grow Clinic
Where?/When?: Lowes, 10 a.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: It's the second part of the 2011 Lowe's Train! Bring your kids to Lowe's and they can build this awesome Coal Car!
Pricing: Free

5. Moonstruck: Full Moon Hikes
Where/When: The Outdoor Classroom, 6 to 7 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Join the Outdoor Classroom on an hour hike through the many beautiful trails around the park. All ages are welcome! Call 412-838-0064 to register.
Pricing: $3

6. Breakfast or Lunch with Santa
Where?/When?: Trax Farms Market, 9:30 a.m. or 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday
Why Go?: Bring your family to Trax Farms to enjoy a breakfast or lunch with Santa. Breakfast is served at 9:30 a.m. and lunch will be served at 1 p.m. Ticket price includes making a gingerbread house, a coloring contest, meeting with Santa and more! The Cafe will be open for parents to purchase food and beverages. The breakfast menu includes cereal, mini donuts, apple, milk and orange juice. The lunch menu includes a hot dog, chips, apple and capri sun. Call ahead and reserve with your credit card. Reservation deadlines are the Thursday the week of the breakfast or lunch.

7. South Hills Junior Orchestra Holiday Benefit Concert
Where?/When?: Boyce Middle School, 1 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go?: South Hills Junior Orchestra will perform at a Benefit Concert at Boyce Middle School in Upper St. Clair. The theme of the event is Holiday Music and Giving, and the student members of the orchestra will conduct and play seasonal carols such as Sleigh Ride, Chanukah Celebration, Joy to the World, Deck the Halls and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. The concert is a fundraiser for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, the Upper St. Clair School District Performing Arts and specifically the Boyce Theatre.  The organization is requesting that those who attend the concert and all SHJO members bring food items as a donation to the Food Bank. In addition, monetary gifts will be used to help purchase a new piano for Boyce Middle School. The Boyce Middle School would like to raise $6000 for an upright piano for music performances.
Pricing: A food item donation or monetary gift.

8. A Magical Holiday Dance Spectacular
Where?/When?: Upper St Clair Theater, 4 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go?: The Academy of Dance by Lori presents "A Magical Holiday Dance Spectacular." Join Clara and her brother on a magical trip through your favorite holiday stories. Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Santa's elves take you on a wonderful trip. This production highlights your favorite holiday characters through wonderful dancing. The best of ballet but a lot of jazz combine to entertain the whole family. The story ends with Pittsburgh's own "Rockerettes" in a magical fun-filled event.
Pricing: $12/General Admission, Children under 2 are free. Click here to purchase tickets.

9. 5th Annual Pan-Orthodox “Nativity of the Lord” Choral Concert
Where?/When?: Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 5 p.m on Sunday
Why Go?: Don't miss out on this special night of performances by local Orthodox church choirs featuring beautiful hymns of the Nativity and ethnic Christmas carols expressed in their unique traditions.
Pricing: A free-will donation will be collected.

10. Annual Christmas Concert Featuring Handel’s Messiah
Where?/When?: Westminster Presbyterian Church, 7 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go?: Led by the Upper St. Clair Chanteclairs, the program includes the singing of favorite Christmas carols and several musical treats sung by the Cherub, Junior and Youth Choirs. The evening culminates in the Chancel Choir’s production of the best-loved Christmas portion (Part I) of Handel’s Messiah, accompanied by the Academy Chamber Orchestra. Following the program is a reception, where one may enjoy an early Christmas treat.
