Easy Win for USC, Panthers Advance to WPIAL Semifinals

Upper St. Clair defeated Central Catholic on Friday night.

 

Upper St. Clair easily moves on to the WPIAL playoff semifinals.

So much so, the mercy rule went into effect in the fourth quarter against Central Catholic Friday night. The final score was 38-0.

According to the Post-Gazette, Central Catholic had two fumbles and two interceptions in the first three quarters and all four turnovers led to touchdowns.

Mac Pope scored two touchdowns for Upper St. Clair and quarterback Pete Coughlin ran for one touchdown and threw for another.

Upper St. Clair will face Woodland Hills next Friday night. They beat them in their season opener 31-12.
