Board OKs New Ardolino's Pizza Restaurant

The new restaurant will be constructed behind the existing building.

Upper St. Clair commissioners unanimously approved the construction of a new Ardolino's Pizza restaurant behind the existing building.

The restaurant will sit along Maple Lane, off of Boyce Road, which is currently a private, gravel road. The Ardolinos will pay to have the road paved and upgraded.

The new restaurant will have an outdoor dining patio that will seat about 30 people. Commissioners gave approval for service on the patio until 11 p.m. They allow for Stonepepper's Grill to do the same on its outdoor dining patio.

The current Ardolino's Pizza restaurant will remain open until construction is fully complete.

The Ardolinos will then lease or sell the building to a complimentary business, perhaps a coffee or ice cream shop.

The planning commission gave the Ardolinos the OK to expand in January.

Upper St. Clair commissioners also approved a liquor license transfer to Ardolino's Pizza in March.

What do you think about the plans for a new Ardolino's Pizza restaurant?

I'm excited and can't wait for the new restaurant. Rodney has run a very good business and provided a quality product over many years at the current location. I can't wait for the new place to open.

This is fantastic! The only thing we didn't like about Ardolino's was the lack of a dine-in option.
