Beware of I-79 Traffic Stoppages Saturday Morning

The stoppages will last for 15 minutes or less.

Traffic in both directions on Interstate 79 in South Fayette Township will be stopped intermittently on Saturday morning, March 10, weather permitting.

Brief stoppages of 15 minutes or less will occur between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. Saturday in the area between Exit 54 (Bridgeville) and Exit 48 (Southpointe), according to PennDOT.

Crews from Metropolitan Communications Group will be performing cable work above I-79. For more information on the work contact Metropolitan Communications Group at 610-696-6910.

Motorists should use caution, slow down and expect to stop when traveling on I-79 through the area.
