We have lost one of our family cats. He got out before the cold weather and the family is very worried. He is a black cat named "Sid" and along with the rest of the family, his brother Geno misses him very much. We live at 417 Cadberry Court in Hempstead Woods. If you have seen him, please call us at 412-337-6181. Thank you, Holly Perella

Sounds like Sid was "locked out"......sorry I couldn't resist. I hope he returns.

If he is not used to getting out, he is probably too afraid to go too far. Many cats are found just a few houses away. Try putting his litter box outside by the door. The surroundings may not be be familiar to him but if he smells his litter box and his or his siblings' excrement, it can help to guide him home.

Thanks to everyone for comments and suggestions. Still looking for him. He is microchipped so hopefully he is found and taken to a shelter.

Thanks for asking. We DID find him two whole weeks after he went missing he survived those days of very cold temps and snow. A neighbor in our plan spotted him around her yard. My husband followed his tracks in the snow to a small hole in the ground and coaxed him out with some tuna. He was fine just super skinny and super hungry :) so lucky to get him back
