Blessing of the Animals at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Mt. Lebanon
- Name: St. Paul's Episcopal Church
- Occasion: Blessing of the Animals
All dogs, cats, and other pets are invited to bring their people to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on Sunday, October 7 for an animal blessing at the 8:45 service as part of our celebration of St. Francis. There will be a pet gathering and celebration of animals after the service. For those who prefer not to worship with their pets, there will also be a Blessing of the Animals on the lawn at approximately 12 noon (following the 10:45 service). Everyone is encouraged to provide for less fortunate animals by donating items for the Angel Ridge Animal Rescue. We will be collecting dog and cat food as well as paper towels, bleach, old towels and/or small blankets. Financial donation to help homeless animals will also be accepted for the McDowell County WV Animal Shelter, where church youth did Mission Trip work this past summer. Both Angel Ridge and the McDowell County shelters are no-kill shelters, and their need is great. If you have any questions, please contact Lisa Brown at lcbrown@stpaulspgh.org or 412-531-7153 or see our website at www.stpaulspgh.org. St. Paul’s is located on the corner of Mayfair Dr. and Washington Rd in Mt. Lebanon.
